Calgary

After searching long and hard with out any luck for national tour events in Europe to play in after Marseille, Liz and I decided to fly home to Canada.  We flew to Calgary to stay with Liz's boyfriend Ray and his family.  It was a perfect option for us, we were able to recuperate and get some rest (I've been recovering from a bad cold), do some laundry and eat home cooked meals!!  This week we were fortunate enough to train here in Calgary with Kathy Tough, and some of her crew at the Volleydome.  I always enjoy working with new coaches and getting new/different perspectives on the game, and Liz and I were able to fine tune some things.  It was great to have some structured training here, something that wasn't guaranteed while we were in Europe.  So a big THANK YOU to Kathy :)  My week is Calgary has been really nice, Mama and Papa Sewell have been uber generous by letting me stay with them, and have been cooking meals for us all week.  I don't think you could meet nicer people.  Ray has been awesome too, being our chauffeur, helping out at training, and even letting Liz and I beat him at Settlers.  Tomorrow we are driving out to Kelowna to compete in the Centre of Gravity tournament, before we fly back to Europe on Monday to compete in a German National Tour stop in St. Peter-Ording!

Liz's 26th birthday was on Monday so we had a little celebration!
